Sabrina Socorro

    Mi nombre es Sabrina Socorro, soy venezolana. En mayo 2016, exactamente un mes antes de mi graduación de bachillerato, fui diagnosticada con Linfoma Linfloblástico de células T. Esto me llevo a mudarme temporalmente a Houston, Texas para poder tratarme.

   A mis 18 años en ese entonces el mundo se me vino abajo, pasaba días y días sin saber que hacer, sin dormir, aterrada por todo lo que venía y por todos los cambios que mi vida tendría desde ese momento. Cinco meses de quimioterapia después fui sometida a un transplante de médula ósea para consolidar mi tratamiento del que había salido victoriosa, creo que ha sido la experiencia más dura que he vivido jamás. Aquí es cuando nace esta idea dentro de mi, buscar hacer algo que ayude a las personas a sobrellevar cualquier desafío que pueda presentarse en sus vidas, tanto en su salud mental como física.

   Siempre me ha llenado el alma ayudar a los demás, a hacerlos sentir que pueden comerse el mundo, porque en realidad todos podemos. Espero que disfruten de este blog tanto como yo, y que de alguna u otra manera te ayude a ser la mejor versión de ti.

My name is Sabrina Socorro, I am originally from Venezuela. In May 2016, exactly one month before my high school graduation, I was diagnosed with T-Cell Lymphoma. This prompted me to temporarily move to Houston, Texas to be treated.

 

 At 18 years old at that time, I felt like my world fell apart, I spent days and days without knowing what to do, without sleeping, terrified by everything that was coming and by all the changes that my life would face from that moment. Five months of chemotherapy later, I underwent a bone marrow transplant to consolidate my treatment, I think it was the hardest experience I have ever had. This is when this idea was born, seeking to do something that helps people overcome any challenge that may arise in their lives, both in their mental and physical health.

 

 It has always filled my soul to help others, to make them feel that they can run the world because when in reality, we all can. I hope you enjoy this blog as much as I do, and that in some way or another it helps you to be the best version of you.
